We have all the resources to make your studies easy to research and access. You will be able to have remote access from your laptop or from your home computer to all the online resources. The Learning Resource Centre (LRC) has a team of staff on hand to help you understand and get onto the systems with ease. The LRC is an excellent place designed to meet all your study needs in a supportive environment.
Here you will be able to borrow books, films, music, audio visual equipment and computers (including laptops). The friendly and expert team will be able to help you if you have specific questions, and there are plenty of helpful guides available.
The LRC offers a silent study area if you want to work undisturbed. There are small group study areas and over 50 bookable computer workstations. In addition to the LRC there are 3 main study centres, one each in Hawthorn, Willow and Beech, each offering space for quiet group work and additional computer workstations. There is also the large Redwood Centre.
Computer workstations and printers are available across the college campus in open access areas, the LRC, workshops and classrooms. College-wide wireless is available so that you can connect your laptop anywhere on the campus. Whilst working from home you have the ability via the internet to remotely connect to electronic learning resources and your own network and email accounts.
If you are doing a course that uses IT extensively you will find that the areas are equipped with the necessary computers, digital projectors, associated sound and video equipment. There are extensive multi-media suites to support film making and Apple based music/media suites for Music and Music Technology.
Our facilities are constantly being updated as technology advances.
