Economics

The world has infinite wants and scarce resources; you will therefore analyse how and why choices are made.  You will look at the impact on the environment of business activity and the range of possible solutions that are available to monitor and change this behaviour.

Are public services meeting the needs of society?  Is there equality and fairness in the world today?  Should airlines pay more tax? These are just some of the many questions you might ask when studying Economics at Richard Huish College.

“There is openness to opinion and questioning.  We are allowed to question the theory.”

“I can really argue with others from a position of strength.”

“I can apply theory to real life.”
