Music Technology

This is a very hands-on course. There will be projects that challenge you both creatively and technically. The course embraces a wide range of popular music styles and will give you a broad sweep of both knowledge and technical skills and you will be able to compose and record your own music using high-quality equipment.

“I was attracted by the level of equipment and I wanted to master the skills that would enable
me to record my band. The staff really know the subject and communicate it well. We are
encouraged to make full use of the technology and I feel that I’m learning new things all the time.
I want to do music at Uni and these technical and creative skills will defi nitely be of benefi t for that.”

“The course is very practical and theory is always taught in the context of course work assignments,
which are both interesting and challenging. We were encouraged to make full use of the
technology and I found that I quickly came to terms with the soft and hardware of recording
and sequencing. This will be very useful to me in my future career in music recording engineering
and production [via the prestigious Tonnmeister course]. The atmosphere friendly and staff are
available outside lessons to help.”
