This course is designed to deepen your appreciation and enjoyment of film.
You will be introduced to a range of national and international films
The objective of this will be to hopefully give you an interest in film culture which will remain with you long after you leave college
You will study a wide range of different films
As a result you will develop your skills of:
The course explores the relationship between the film “text” and the exploration of meaning and response.
The course is supported by a part time technical expert. As well as coursework, students are given the chance to participate in a timetabled video enrichment course which culminates in the Huish ‘Oscars’ ceremony. There are several opportunities for student visits throughout the year with past trips being to Hollywood, New York and EuroDisney.
