If you are thinking of working in any sort of caring profession such as teaching, nursing, midwifery or social work then this will be a valuable qualification.

Why should I choose Health and Social Care?

Health and social care is the obvious course to take in order to progress to any profession which links into caring

Although there is a section of theory to study on the course, the main emphasis is on applying the information that you learn in real situations

What will I study?

All students will cover three mandatory units:

  • Promoting Quality Care
  • Communications in Care Settings
  • Promoting Good Health

In addition to these you will choose from a range of options in order to complete your qualification. These options range from complimentary therapies to child development, anatomy and physiology

The number of units you select will depend on whether or not you take the single or double award and whether you study for one or two years
