The Richard Huish College Women’s Basketball team have experienced a fantastic journey this year as they competed across two national competitions, with many of the team also playing additional sports on top.

The team celebrated a very promising start in the Association of Colleges (AoC) National Cup, where the girls tasted success with a dominating victory over Peter Symonds College in the last sixteen, which lined up a Quarter Final tie with Itchen College. The former WEABL side though proved too strong for the Huish team, eventually bowing them out of the National Cup in the quarter-finals.

The team also competed in the England Basketball Dynamik Cup this year where they came up against extremely strong opposition from The Norwood School and Aylesbury High School, unfortunately losing out to both sides after some great games. This, however, was not the case for the Men’s team who continue in the National Dynamik cup after topping their Southern Pool 5 with five wins from five matches. They have now progressed to face Plymouth Studio School in the regional round 1 with ties to be played on the 21st February 2018.
