Richard Huish Hockey players Adam Veitch, Luca Maxwell and Archie Marsh (first reserve) have all been selected to represent England Colleges in their upcoming 2017/18 fixtures. The trio, who all play Hockey for local sides, have undergone a vigorous trial selection. Having travelled to Southampton for the South West trials, the trio were taken forward to the final stages held in Cannock at the start of December, where the three students shone and were selected to represent the College.

All three players are currently studying full time at Huish and are working hard balancing their sporting and academic commitments. The boys train twice a week and have weekly fixtures against local colleges from across the South West. The trio have also been key in the success of Huish Hockey this year and played a vital part in the Huish Men’s Hockey qualifying for the AoC National Championships to be held in Nottingham at the end of April 2018.

Sports Development Assistant, Connor Sidley-Adams commented, “The boys are continuously looking to improve and do a fantastic job of balancing their sporting and academic studies. Huish is one of the leading providers of Hockey provision in the Country, with the boys joining an illustrious list of former students who have gone on to represent their Country”.
