Richard Huish College student Felicity Kerr has been offered places at two of the world’s finest centres for training in choreography and contemporary dance. After gruelling auditions she received offers from both Northern School of Contemporary Dance and Laban.
For the last thirteen years Felicity has been a pupil of Miss Lesley Gray and recently Miss Verity Snell at the Mountway School of Dancing where she passed her grade 8 ballet with distinction in December. In addition for five years Felicity has been part of Taunton Youth Dance Company (TYDC) which is directed by Jo Wilmott and Nikki Penfold.
Felicity said “I feel very privileged to have the choice of two wonderful places to study. I am so grateful for the thorough ballet technique tuition I received at the Mountway School and the choreographic encouragement and contemporary performance opportunities I have had with TYDC at the Tacchi Morris”.
Catherine Lee, Huish Dance Course Manager said: “Felicity thoroughly deserves her places at Northern Contemporary Dance School and The Laban Centre. She is a student who has seized every opportunity given to her. Her input into Youth Dance in the region is incredibly valued and I know she will be a student to look out for in the future.”
Felicity was home tutored before coming to Richard Huish College. She is currently studying Music, Biology and Philosophy as well as Dance of course! She has been predicted A grades in every subject.
