When there is a problem…
We always welcome feedback from students and parents about their experiences at Huish; all staff are determined and rigorous in their pursuit of educational excellence.
If there is a specific problem, complaint or issue, we encourage a student and their parent/carer to discuss this directly with those involved. When this course of action does not resolve the issue, a member of our Senior Management Team will normally investigate and chair a meeting of those involved in a further attempt to find an appropriate and timely resolution. If you are not satisfied with the outcome of the investigation, you can refer the issue to the Chair of Governors. Huish deliberately avoids having prescriptive policies and procedures whenever possible. This is to ensure that we retain the flexibility to deal with each individual student and each individual situation in the most appropriate and responsive manner. It also ensures that the parties involved in resolving the problem retain a focus on the best interests of the individual student and/or the broader student experience.
