About the Course

This course is an internal course run around June/July for a morning a week for 5 weeks.

This course is aimed at learners with little or no book-keeping knowledge.

Learners spend 20 hours in the classroom and 20 hours completing home study.

This course covers a bespoke introduction to bookkeeping covering the following:

An understanding of double entry bookkeeping (debits and credits).

  • Processing sales invoices, purchase invoices, cash payments and cash receipts to the relevant accounts.
  • VAT bookkeeping.
  • Production of a trial balance, Profit Or Loss A/C and Balance Sheet for a small business.
  • Correction of errors (journals).
  • Bank reconciliations.
