BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION APPRENTICESHIP

LEVEL: 2 APPRENTICESHIP
EXAMINING BOARD: OCR
TYPE OF STUDY: FULL TIME

Business and administration skills are essential to many occupations. Apprentices may work in roles such as Administrators, Office Juniors, Receptionists/Medical Receptionists, Junior Legal Secretaries or Junior Medical Secretaries.

Administration skills are vital to the effectiveness and efficiency of any organisation and are highly desirable to employers.

With the Business Administration Level 2 Diploma apprentices will be carrying out a range of administrative duties. This will include working as part of a team, ensuring the provision of information and resources to others.

Studying at Richard Huish College, as part of this 12 month apprenticeship, you will work towards developing the knowledge required under the apprenticeship framework.

At work, you will build your portfolio as you develop skills across a range of areas to meet the mandatory units and the optional units selected from a range of potential choices to meet your job role.

You will be supported by an Assessor and your work based mentor. You will attend weekly classroom based lessons. Throughout the apprenticeship twenty percent of your working hours will be spent in study and development. You will develop skills to enable you to work productively within an office environment and to communicate effectively.

There are no formal entry requirements, however, before completion of your apprenticeship, you must have achieved a Level 1 qualification in English, Mathematics, and ICT. You must also be employed in a suitable role to be able to evidence the skills areas above.

How will I be assessed?

You will be assessed by a Portfolio that you will create throughout your duration of the apprenticeship.
