LEVEL 2: DOUBLE VOCATIONAL (Cambridge Technical Diploma)

This course is a core component of the Level 2 Creative Pathway. Studied alongside two other GCSEs, this one year course will help you prepare for a Level 3 Study Programme and to pursue a creative career.
Over the duration of this course, you will get the opportunity to develop your skills in research, analysis, planning and reflection. There are also frequent practical assignments where you can expect to build your media production skills by working with camera and sound equipment, as well as editing software on the Adobe Creative Cloud.
While studying on the Level 2 Creative Pathway, you will also develop skills which will be useful to you in English and Mathematics.
You have an opportunity to complete a week of work experience in a media related business to apply what you have learnt on the course

- Print Media Skills
- Audio Media Skills
The Level 2 Media course is 100% coursework, assessed through various presentation methods including portfolio creation, written submissions, and practical experiences.
You must be aged 16 years+ to complete the Level 2 Pathway.
The standard entry requirement is a GCSE profile of grade 3s however the programme is also aimed at students who haven’t had the opportunity to sit GCSE’s, this could be for several reasons which could include students who have been homeschooled.
