EARLY YEARS EDUCATOR APPRENTICESHIP
LEVEL 3: APPRENTICESHIP

Are you interested in working in a nursery or early years setting, if so then this Apprenticeship can provide you with the knowledge and practical skills to support Early Years Educators working with children from birth to 5 years old.
In this role you will be working to deliver to the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) requirements. As an Apprentice you will work under the supervision of a Nursery Manager. Your duties will vary depending on the setting but could include;
- Planning and supervising child initiated and adult led activities which are based around the needs and interests of each individual child
- Supporting children to develop numeracy and language skills
- Key person responsibility
- Supporting care needs such as feeding, changing and administering medicine.
Upon completion you will have completed a Level 3 Diploma for the Early Years Workforce, Functional Skills in Maths and English (if required) and a Level 3 Award in Paediatric First Aid.
There are no formal entry requirements however a pass in GCSE English and Maths is desirable.
You will need to undergo an enhanced DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check.

Typically 24 months

Learners may progress onto further qualifications specific to the work context such as Level 5 Foundation Degree.
