The Level 5 Diploma in Education and Training prepares individuals to teach in a range of contexts (excluding Primary and Early Years).
This qualification aims to meet the need of a range of individuals, such as:
- individuals who are not currently teaching and training but who can meet the practice requirements
- individuals who are currently teaching and training (including those who have just begun teaching and training)
- individuals who are currently working as Assessors/Teaching Assistants (secondary and post 16) and who wish to achieve a teaching qualification.
If you would be interested in studying for a Level 5 Diploma in Education and Training please contact our Apprenticeship team to discuss costs and requirements. This qualification can also be obtained by completing a Level 5 Learning and Skills Teacher Apprenticeship.
There is a requirements for a minimum 100 hours of practice as this qualification will assess, and provide evidence of, competence when undertaking teaching/or training responsibilities.
You will have to evidence working with groups of learners through a minimum of 8 observations totalling a minimum of 8 hours to achieve this qualification.
