IT PROCOM APPRENTICESHIP

LEVEL: 2 – 3 APPRENTICESHIP
EXAMINING BOARD: PEARSON
TYPE OF STUDY: FULL-TIME

This Apprenticeship is aimed at learners who have an interest in building or repairing computers. IT Procom is a modular qualification giving theoretical background knowledge and building on knowledge learnt in the workplace.

When enrolled on this Apprenticeship you will work at a local company and come into College once a week to work on your Diploma and Certificate. Typical units you will study include; designing a website, OOP programming and software testing, therefore it is suitable for Web Developers.

The IT Procom Apprenticeship can be taken as a Level 2 or Level 3 qualification:

  • Level 2 (minimum 12 months)
  • Level 3 (approximately 18 months)

On completion learners can progress onto a full time job, careers you can progress onto include; IT Technical Support, Software Developer, Web Developer, Network Planner and many more.

There are no entry requirements, however many employers specify at least a Level C/4 at GCSE in English and Mathematics and a Vocational Level 3 qualification or an A Level in order to start the Advanced Apprenticeship.
