ILM Qualifications

ILM offers industry-recognised leadership and management qualifications for all career levels.

You might be taking on your first team leading role or progressing to a higher level of management. ILM qualifications can help you to develop the skills, knowledge and personal abilities you need to succeed.

The way that ILM qualifications are designed means that you can fast-track your progression and ensure that training is targeted to meet your specific needs.

What Level should I start on?

ILM qualifications start at Level 2 (ideal for team leaders) and go up to Level 5 (suited to senior managers). View the ILM website to see where you should start here.

All ILM’s qualifications are made up of small bite-sized units of learning on specific topics. ILM have designed their core leadership and management qualifications to be as flexible as possible. This means that trainers can customise qualifications to suit your needs by offering you a tailored combination of units.

Entry requirements

There are no formal entry requirements. The ILM qualification is designed to meet the needs of aspiring and practising managers. You will start at the level best suited to you, your job role and ambitions. Contact the Course Manager to discuss a suitable starting point.

How am I assessed?

ILM qualifications use work-based projects and assessment. You might carry out a project as part of your course, or be asked to plan, deliver and review a piece of work.
