Overview

If you are interested in theatres, patient care and infection control, the Perioperative Support Level 3 will develop your skills and knowledge within this area.

If you want to become an ODP this qualification will give you an insight into how a theatre works and the procedures that are undertaken.

Individuals undertaking this course will work in operating theatre departments.

Duties will include caring for patients before and after an operation, checking equipment and keeping the operating environment clean and safe.

This apprenticeship will take about 18-24 months to complete and potential careers include Perioperative/Theatre Support Worker, OPD and Assistant practitioner.
