About the Course

Photography is a very creative course. You will develop the technical skills necessary to enable you to express your ideas using photographs as your medium. We start with film techniques and move forward into digital photography and we work both in black and white and in colour. We work to set themes and then you take them in individual unique directions.

In your first year you will explore the potential of location and studio work, digital technology, darkroom processes, and the moving image.

In the second year you will apply the skills and experiences of year 1 to create a Personal Investigation.

The College runs a /404Photography Club for anyone interested in photography to get involved in.

I chose Photography at Huish because I had heard a lot of great things about it and I really loved photography. I can safely say it has really lived up to its reputation. You start practical work from day one and the resources available to you are immense.
