This Apprenticeship allows you to build skills in the workplace and earn an ACCA qualification.

ACCA qualifications are recognised and recommended around the world. Based on international accounting standards, employers know that an ACCA qualification is a mark of professional excellence. The qualification is suitable for AAT qualified students who wish to progress to a chartered accountancy qualification.

The ACCA qualification comprises of 10 professional exams as follows:

  • CW         Corporate and Business Law
  • PM         Performance Management
  • TX           Taxation
  • FR           Financial Reporting
  • AA          Audit and Assurance
  • FM         Financial Management

  • SBL         Strategic Business Leadership
  • SBR        Strategic Business Reporting

  • ATX        Advanced Taxation*
  • AAA       Advanced Audit and Assurance *

*There are other options but we offer Advanced Audit and Tax.

Our timetable is set so that students aim to qualify in just over three years. There is no particular best order in which to tackle the skills exams and they do not have to be undertaken chronologically. We alternate the subjects we offer at skills level annually, for example we will offer LW, TX and PM in 2020/2021 and then FM, AA and FR in 2021/22. All professional exams are offered each year.

In order to achieve an appropriate balance between employer and student needs, our classes run from 1.45pm – 8.00pm one day a week (currently Thursdays).

The course at Huish is taught by qualified experienced Accountants/Tutors giving pass rates that always exceed the national averages; up to 100% on some units. In addition to passing exams, you will need to complete an Ethics and Professional Skills module.
