This course will equip you with the essential skills and knowledge for future study or a career in sport. It offers you the chance to gain a qualification on a more practical level.
This Extended Diploma will make up the core requirement of your Study Programme and is roughly equivalent to three A Levels.
You will gain practical experience of training and exercise and the physiological effects this has on our anatomy and you will explore how nutrition impacts on our health and performance and how to manage different types of sporting injuries.
This course is about gaining hands on experience and you may have the opportunity to work in a local primary school delivering either an After School Club or PE lessons, work as an official alongside SASP at a Primary School Central Venue League and work with students at Selworthy School.
We are taught many of the topics within the classroom, but often take what we have learnt outside and use it in a practical way. Everyone gets the chance to participate in demonstrations and practicals and there are opportunities to work as part of a team.
