A number of students at Richard Huish College have enrolled on a 20 hour First Aid Course delivered by St John’s Ambulance as part of their Gold Duke of Edinburgh Award.
They will be learning a number of potential life saving techniques including how to perform CPR. Once they have completed the course they will be teaching this technique to the students at The Taunton Academy who are working towards the Bronze Duke Of Edinburgh Award.
Students Lydia Read and Erin Byrnes visited BBC Somerset recording studio this morning to discuss the scheme and the benefit of having students trained in CPR.
