RICHtalk with special guest – Rufus Mitchell-Heggs
January 20 @ 1:00 pm
This term’s RICHTalk series will feature a special guest on 20th January, Rufus Mitchell-Heggs, a former Huish student who as part of the 4-man rowing team, ‘Enginoars’ will be attempting to row 3,000 miles across the Atlantic Ocean.
The lecture entitled “Why four engineers are competing in the world’s toughest row” is open to all Huish students and will take place in the Redwood Theatre at 1pm.
The adventurous tale will focus on the team and their STEM careers, their Atlantic Campaign – including the training and preparation they are undertaking and how sustainability has been a key consideration, and share information about their charity partner, Engineers without Boarders and their Plastic Capturer Project and Design Challenge.
Don’t miss your opportunity to hear from one of your peers how this demanding STEM project is about to set sail. There will be an opportunity to ask questions following the lecture.
