FAQ’s for Current Applicants
How will I know you have received my application?
You will receive an automated email and then our Admissions team will be in touch within 2 weeks. If you do not hear from us within 2 weeks please email email@example.com.
Are you still doing the Advice and Guidance meetings during the lockdown?
Yes we are but they are being conducted over the phone. Please let us know if this is an issue and we will contact you directly to arrange an alternative.
Will parents also be told when this meeting is?
Yes, the appointment time is sent to the student’s email address plus whoever was put down as Parent 1 on the application form.
Will the courses be full if I don’t have my interview soon?
Please don’t worry, no course will be full and it is very unusual for us not to be able to accommodate someone’s choices, even in August.
How do I change my subjects?
If you have not yet had your Advice & Guidance meeting, this will form part of your discussion with our member of staff. If you have already had this meeting then follow the QR code on your offer form to locate the Subject Change form. Don’t forget you can change courses at our Welcome to Huish event in July and also at Enrolment so please do not worry.
Will I be able to come and visit the college?
Yes, we aim to run our Welcome to Huish event in July where you come for 2 days. We will also offer tours in the summer term as long as Government restrictions allow.
What if my teacher grades in the summer aren’t good enough for your entry requirements?
Our main aim is to get you on a Study Programme that you will be happy with and successful on, please know we have a course for you at Huish whatever happens. We will have individual discussions at Enrolment with regards to your Study Programme, so for now keep working hard and do your best.
