Richard Huish College Childcare and Education students recently held multiple events to raise money for Children in Need.

The first of the planned activities was a cake sale which was held at the College, the student’s initial target for this was £100 which they smashed. Childcare and Education Teacher, Gemma Lyons commented on the students’ efforts saying “I am so proud of them, they did amazingly well! Thank you to everyone who supported this great cause by purchasing a cake”.

The second event was held at Huish Trust partner, Nerrols Primary School, with the students having pre-planned a day of activities for their pupils to take part in.

The day included cake decorating, making Pudsey creations, making smelly playdough and parachute games. The experiences from the day will be incredibly valuable for the Huish students, with many looking to progress into careers in primary school teaching.
