Staff and students at Richard Huish College chose to ‘wear it pink!’ on Friday 21st October in aid of Breast Cancer Now, the research and care charity.

Organised at the College by Sharon Williams, Course Manager for Marketing, Management and Business, the Huish community were invited to join the nation in wearing their best rose, magenta and fuchsia fashions, and to make a donation to the charity.

The Wear it Pink campaign has run for 20 years, taking place each year in Breast Cancer Awareness month and raised over £37 million for life-changing support and research.

In addition to wearing shades of pink at Huish, a wide range of cakes were provided by students and staff and sold for donations. Amongst the cakes were brownies, cupcakes, angel slices and spectacular homemade cakes including a pink marble cake and a delicious red velvet cake decorated with a breast cancer support ribbon in sprinkles.
