Student Voice
Our Student Voice team is made up of our Student Governors, Executives and Ambassadors.
These positions can help you:
- build your confidence and develop leadership skills
- make friends
- gain work experience for your CV and UCAS application.
- enjoy the sense of satisfaction and fulfilment that comes from helping others.
Student Executive
The Student Executive help shape the College by feeding back to staff the student perspective of life at Huish.
They support creating new initiatives to improve college life, interview new staff members, run EnRICH activities and more.
They work closely with our Vice Principal to develop their understanding of how an educational institution is run. This is great experience for you to learn more about complex organisations and their structures.
You can apply to become a Student Executive in January whilst in the Lower Sixth and will hold the position for one year.
The Student Executives run a variety of forums where all students have the opportunity to provide feedback about Huish and suggest new ideas. The forums include:
- Community and Charity – share your fundraising ideas and ways we can support the community
- Ecolution – help the College consider how they can act more sustainably and support the planet
- Social – suggest social activities and ways of making those new to Huish feel welcome
- Being you at Huish – everyone at Huish is unique, we want to ensure all voices are heard, and everyone feels included and safe with no barriers to their learning
- Huish Woes – share any concerns with us
- Personal Development – tell us what opportunities you would you like available at college.
They aim to listen to and take action from your opinions so please tell them what is important to you at college.

Become an Ambassador
Volunteer as a Huish Ambassador and support our staff at our events. We will need your support to welcome prospective students and their families to the campus and to help settle new students into College.
