Learning Centre and Study Spaces
Across the campus you will find a variety of study centres, there are environments designed for group work as well as a number of Silent Zones so you can find a space that suits your preferred study style. The Learning Centre is the central study hub on campus. Here you’ll find friendly, professional and knowledgeable staff ready to support your studies with research and resources. They can help produce bibliographies, citations and references, help with copyright and plagiarism queries and show you how to get the best from our resources. We have a range of equipment available to loan. Our current stock includes USBs, films, still and video cameras, sound and lighting equipment, extension leads and batteries. You can book a training session if you need support using the equipment.
The Learning Centre includes a Project Zone, a Quiet Zone and a Silent Zone. As well as an extensive library of books, Huish subscribes to a wide range of journals and online resources that you can access from anywhere with a WiFi connection. These resources are produced by subject specialists to support your individual course of study.
During term time the Learning Centre is open Monday to Friday, 8.30am -4.45pm. For opening times outside term time please check College and Learning Centre notices.

Information Technology
WiFi is available across the campus and you’ll find a large number of computers in the Learning Centre and other study centres. You can also borrow laptops from our self-issue laptop lockers to use anywhere on site.
To support courses and EnRICH activities that require more specialised software and technology, we have dedicated Microsoft Windows suites, Apple iMac suites, and the Aspen Music Centre.
We consistently upgrade our equipment to ensure the technology you use matches that used in industry.
Whether you are interested in programming, coding, animation, filmmaking, editing, photography, graphic design, or music production, you will find the facilities here to support you to work to a professional standard.
Support is available from our departmental technicians and from the IT Helpdesk. You can also buy stationery from the IT Helpdesk.
