Sam Jarman talks about ACCA classroom learning

I chose the ACCA course as it relates a lot to what I do at work as opposed to a lot of the other qualifications out there. It is also a globally recognised qualification.

Achieving the ACCA will enable me to be recognised as a qualified accountant. The course has helped me to relate the theory with practice in order to learn.

I chose Huish Business School because it is the most local provider to me and the pass rates are good.

I have tried home study before but I found there were too many distractions and reasons not to revise. The classroom based approach gives you structure. Every week you are revising. Also because you are getting taught it, if there is something you don’t know or understand you have the lecturer to ask and colleagues in your class that you can talk about it with. Definitely the classroom method is best for me.

This is my first year on the course and I have found that me classmates are all in the same point in their career, trying to get the same qualification. We learn off each other and share each other’s experiences.
