Last Saturday marked a triumphant return for Huish students at the Exeter College Model United Nations (MUN), following last year’s cancellation due to severe weather.

Two Huish delegations represented the USA and Somalia, engaging in dynamic debates on global issues ranging from censorship in conflict zones to nuclear activity in outer space.

The conference’s simulated “crisis”, a global pandemic, pushed delegates to craft bold solutions, rivaling those of real-world leaders.

Huish students excelled, bringing home an impressive collection of awards:

  • Best Delegate: Grace Liang and Austin Lawrence
  • Highly Commended: Will Holden and Rebecca Barter
  • Commended: Will Atkins

Additionally, the USA delegation earned Commended Delegation, narrowly missing the top spot to the Russian Federation.

Congratulations to all participants for their outstanding performance and diplomacy!
