Richard Huish College hosted a special evening for aspiring students who have made applications to study Medicine at university. In partnership with Musgrove Park Hospital, over 25 doctors, led by former Huish student Dr Amber Leach, attended to deliver a rigorous and engaging preparation session.
The event welcomed students from Huish alongside visiting students from Kings College, Taunton School, and Wellington School. Participants were challenged through a carousel of activities, comprising of:
- Mock traditional interviews
- A presentation by Dr Gam Ratnayake on ‘Preparing for Your Med School Interview‘
- Multiple Mini Interviews
It was a fast-paced evening offering essential experience of what to expect when students seek employment in the medical profession. Every student did themselves proud.

Huish offers the Medical Careers Academy through their many enrichment opportunities available to students to support those considering progressing to study Medicine, Veterinary or Dentistry degree.
