Last week Huish hosted its Action Research Marketplace.

This annual event is a chance for teaching and support teams to showcase their research projects, and for knowledge and insights to be shared college-wide.

This year’s projects were organised into four main themes: Assessment and Feedback (Including AI), Inclusive and Adaptive Teaching, Progression and Recruitment, and Revision, Questioning and Independent Learning.

Topics included:
– The use of AI in Physics
– Using feedback to improve exam technique
– Widening access to resources
– Focus and phone use
– The gender gap in Sociology
– Student views of the Learning Centre
– Revision using local AI (student research)

Thank you to all contributors to this year’s Action Research for their dedication and continued support of best practice at Huish – initiatives like this have such a positive impact on the college community.
