Huish Performing Arts are excited to announce that their next production will be Les Misérables School Edition.
The Huish Theatre in Taunton will come alive in February 2027 with a special adaptation of one of the world’s most popular musicals, performed entirely by talented Huish’s Performing Arts EnRICH students.
Set in 19th century France, Les Misérables School Edition is an epic musical tale of sorrow, love, loss, revolution and redemption. Accompanied by an iconic score that includes songs such as “I Dreamed a Dream”, “One Day More”, and “Do You Hear the People Sing?”, the story follows the life of convict Jean Valjean as he attempts to live an honest life whilst evading capture by the relentless policeman Javert.
Huish’s Performing Arts EnRICHment programme gives students the chance to build skills and experience in various elements relating to performance and theatre, including singing, acting, music, dance and stagecraft. Other Performing Arts EnRICH productions in recent years have included Dear Evan Hansen, The Wiz, Bonnie & Clyde, and Our House.
Months of hard work will culminate in a run of evening shows from the 2nd to the 5th of February 2027. A limited early bird ticket rate is available until the end of November 2026, with tickets starting at £8 for students.
