Back in January, our Chemistry students took on the Royal Society of Chemistry Olympiad – a challenging 2-hour exam packed with questions that go well beyond the A Level syllabus.
This year’s paper explored the chemistry behind Paddington Bear, clay pigeon shooting, agarwood and epoxy resin.
We’re incredibly proud to share that every student who entered received a certificate – a brilliant achievement!
From Year 2:
- Bronze – Nea King and Charlie Feehan
- Silver – Evie Taft, Evie Lawson, Ben Wyrwoll, Sam Meade, Vas Mentzou, Finlay Stewart, Hugh Pluckwell, and Molly Joyce
- Gold – Chloe Fry, who placed in the top 8.2% nationally!
From Year 1 (despite the Olympiad being aimed primarily at Year 2 students):
- Bronze – Daisy Williams
- Silver – Evie Titley and Ashvik Larghese
Huge congratulations to all for their hard work, curiosity and success in such a prestigious competition.
