This free online course will help further your personal and professional development and is ideally suited for anyone looking to learn how to support their colleagues with their mental health.
Complete the online resources to achieve a nationally recognised qualification that will evidence your competency to employers.
Around 450 million people currently experience mental health problems, with recent reports suggesting that over 12 million working days were lost due to work-related stress, depression or anxiety in just one year. It’s important that employers are transparent and open about mental health issues, and this qualification builds your understanding of mental health problems and the support you can offer your colleagues.
Increasing the understanding of mental health of staff at all levels builds a culture of care and support.
You will:
- explore mental health
- learn how to support individuals with mental ill health
- learn to understand a mentally healthy environment
How quickly you progress is up to you but typically learners take approximately 12-16 weeks to complete the qualification using the online resources.
Support is available throughout the course from your Assessor should you want advice and guidance.
The qualification will be fully funded (free to you) if you meet the following criteria:
- You must be aged 19 years or over at the beginning of the academic year
- You must permanently reside in the UK
- You must have lived in the EU/UK for 3 years
- You must earn less than £25,000 per annum
