PRINCIPLES OF INFECTION PREVENTION AND CONTROL CERTIFICATE

LEVEL 2: Online Course

This free online course is ideal for adults looking to further their personal and professional development by understanding more about infection control. Complete the online resources to achieve a nationally recognised qualification.

About 300,000 patients develop an infection in England each year while being treated by the NHS. • the principles of the importance of personal hygiene and health in the prevention and control of infection in health care settings
  • the principles of decontamination, cleaning and waste management in health care settings
  • the principles of infection prevention and control in a health care setting

How quickly you progress is up to you but typically learners take approximately 12-16 weeks to complete the qualification using the online resources.

Support is available throughout the course from your Assessor should you want advice and guidance.
