Huish Performing Arts are excited to announce that their next production will be Dear Evan Hansen; A Tony, Olivier, and Grammy Award-winning musical and film that tells the story of a lonely high school student, Evan, who struggles with anxiety and feels invisible.

After a troubled classmate, Connor, dies by suicide, Evan is mistaken as his close friend. Instead of correcting the misunderstanding, he goes along with it, which brings him acceptance, love, and a sense of belonging he’s never known. But as the lie grows, Evan must face the truth and learn that real connection comes not from pretending, but from honesty and understanding.

Thanks to our Performing Arts EnRICHment programme, students of all experience levels are able to develop and showcase their skills in performance (whether that be acting, singing, dancing or playing in the band), as well as in stage crafts (including costume design, prop making, stage management, sound and lighting). Dear Evan Hansen will bring this wealth of creativity together across four show nights in February 2026.

Rehearsals are already under way, with students meeting multiple times each week to perfect their lines, songs and steps! See the show, and our students’ hard work, for yourself: the Dear Evan Hansen box office is now open, with an early bird rate running throughout November.
