Richard Huish College is proud to announce its inclusion in the newly restructured RFU ACE Boys League for the 2025/26 season, marking a significant milestone in the college’s rugby development journey. The Rugby Football Union (RFU), in collaboration with PREM Rugby and the Professional Game Partnership (PGP), has unveiled a refreshed format designed to expand opportunities and elevate the standard of school college rugby across England.

This season, the ACE League welcomes 22 state school programmes, offering a more inclusive and competitive environment for young rugby talent.

The league now features a two-stage structure, with Huish competing in Tier 2, South Area Pool 2. Teams will play 10 fixtures, with promotion and relegation between tiers adding intensity and meaning to every match.

Matt Williams, RFU Programme Lead for Academies, commented on the league’s evolution:

“This season marks an important milestone in the progression of schools and colleges rugby in England. The enhanced operational standards and increase in the number of teams will support a broader pool of players, allowing them to develop within a more inclusive, dynamic, and exciting competition.”

Huish is thrilled to be part of this forward-thinking initiative and looks forward to showcasing its talent on a national stage. The college’s inclusion reflects its commitment to nurturing young athletes and contributing to the future of English rugby.
