How to Apply (International Students)

If you wish to apply for our A Level programme or one of our Professional Accountancy courses, please complete our international student application form and return it to the International Student Coordinator along with any supporting documentation (for example: recent school reports, certificates of achievement, IELTS Certificate).

Once your application has been received, it will be acknowledged and an interview date will be arranged. For applications made outside of the UK, a telephone interview will be conducted.

If your interview and application is successful and we are satisfied that you meet our entry requirements, an unconditional offer letter/CAS will be issued on receipt of the autumn and spring term tuition fee.

You should now apply for your visa to study in the UK.

Entry Requirements

Richard Huish College is a member of NARIC. As the National Agency, managed on behalf of the UK Government, NARIC provides the only official source of information on international qualifications to organisations recruiting from overseas and to individuals wishing to work or study in the UK.

Academic references may also be sourced to support applications.

A Level Applications
Students applying for an AS/A Level programme must meet our entry requirements of 5 grade C’s or above at GCSE level or equivalent, including Maths and English Language.

You must also be able to demonstrate your English proficiency by holding an IELTS score of 5.5 or above. 

Please refer to the UK Border Agency website for a list of approved English Language Tests. 

Professional Accountancy Courses
For those wishing to apply for the Association of Accounting Technicians (AAT) programme, you must possess the relevant accounting qualifications/experience, and also have an IELTS score of 5.0 or above.

Applications for the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) and Charted Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA), you must possess the relevant accounting qualifications/experience, and also have an IELTS score of 5.5 or above.

Foundation Degrees
Our Foundation Degrees are offered in partnership with the University of the West of England and the University, College Plymouth, Marjon.

Airport Collection

We can arrange for you to be collected from the Airport to ensure your safe arrival. Please contact Maria Smith – International Student Coordinator for further information and costs. A minimum of 2 weeks’ notice is required.
