Richard Huish College was delighted to welcome students from colleges across the South West for the AoC Regional Competition in October.
Football qualifiers took place on Huish’s brand new 3G pitch facility, Rugby over at Ash Meadows, Netball in Sycamore Sports Hall and Cross-Country on the Huish woodland track. Huish students also travelled off campus to compete in Cricket and Basketball.
All Huish competitors did extremely well with the Cricket, Football and Netball teams all making it to the semi-finals of their individual tournaments before losing out to the eventual overall winners.
The Women’s Basketball team and Men’s Rugby team both won their tournaments and will now represent Huish at the AoC Nationals being held at Nottingham University. They will be joined by 13 Huish Cross-Country runners who qualified out of a possible 24 spaces.
Huish are only halfway through the qualifiers and so far 40 students have qualified to represent Huish Sport.
